What Makes Qvevri Special?
Qvevri are large, egg-shaped clay vessels that are buried underground up to their necks. This ancient technique creates the perfect environment for fermentation and aging, producing wines with unique characteristics impossible to achieve with modern methods.
Harvest & Crush
Grapes are hand-picked and crushed using traditional methods, often with feet, just as ancestors did.
Underground Fermentation
The grape juice ferments in buried qvevri, where constant earth temperature creates perfect conditions.
Natural Aging
Wine ages naturally in qvevri for months, developing complex flavors unique to this ancient method.
